ITS GO TIME!!! They broke up into teams and then by position. King got to work with a great defensive line, Coach Andre Carter. He shared some great tips with him during the camp. He even played in his first 7 on 7 games, and he had a ball.
In addition, all the campers received T-shirts and participated in a combine consisting of 40 yd dash, broad jump, vertical jump, and they took our height and weight.
LSU Head Football Coach Ed Orgeron directs this program with assistance from his staff and guest coaches. I was impressed that Coach O was on the field or somewhere walking around amongst a crowd of excited parents the entire camp. It was excellent speaking with him, and as it turns out, King and Coach O have something in common other than football. Can you guess what it is? Boxing!! His second favorite sport.
Coach O, the Coaching staff, and the LSU players were on the field the entire time and took the campers through position drills. It was great!
It was a busy one-day camp, and it wrapped up around 4:15.
Thanks to Coach O, his staff, and the players that worked with us today. King enjoyed the camp and look forward to attending again in the future.
